Associate Debt and M&A Advisory (m/f/div)

Job Purpose
As an Associate at Capcora, you will contribute to the development, structuring, and execution of our advisory mandates across Europe. You will work closely with Directors and Partners on a range of projects, including onshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage, while supporting all stages of M&A and financing processes. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in the renewable energy sector and enhance your skills in financial modeling, market analysis, and project management.
Key Personalities
- Coordinate and manage international debt and M&A advisory mandates (including project finance, junior debt, mezzanine, and bridge financing) in our core markets.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of deal teams, collaborating closely with Directors and Managing Partners.
- Engage in active discussions with prestigious lenders and investors, including large institutions, debt funds, and international banks, on deal and non-deal-related matters.
- Guide Analysts and Associates in the preparation and review of teasers and information memorandums.
- Analyze and review complex financial models using discounted cash flow methods and assess various scenarios.
- Coordinate due diligence and documentation processes in collaboration with international law firms and technical advisors.
- Contribute to deal sourcing and pitch activities alongside Directors and Managing Partners.
- Actively participate in the dynamic and collaborative office environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Work closely with a cross-functional team of professionals to share knowledge, enhance collaboration, and deliver exceptional results to clients and partners.
For this role, ideally, you bring:
- A Master’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in banking, financial advisory, investment banking, or within the renewable energy sector.
- Exceptional financial modeling skills (Excel).
- High proficiency in the usage of MS PowerPoint and other MS Office products.
- A keen eye for detail and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong desire for personal growth and career development in the renewable energy and infrastructure financing sector.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate in English and German.
